Accountability

In business life the word accountability is often used.

Ultimately it seems that accountability, once it has passed through the various ranks of control, is to the shareholders.

Shareholders could be a group of people ranging from the casual investor to the hardened professional who has a "nose" for the market.

When accountability is required often excuses such as "the market was in a slump", "there is a slowing in consumer spending", "the bottom has dropped out of the market", "we're in a negative growth phase" and even "the increase in oil prices has slowed demand" are used.

Fuzzy language is often used to avoid the responsibility for lack of "performance". "The demographics are moving against us" was a phrase used by a candidate to explain his election loss.

It might surprise the reader to find that in the sphere of dealings with the Creator the God of Heaven there is an unmistakably clear system relating to the individual's responsibility.

In the final judgment are no religious groups who can be blamed for the unbelief of many who claim this as their right not to be a diligent seeker after God.

"For he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6

Regardless of whether you feel that you have not "got as much out of life" as you had expected, if you are reading this tract you have been given the gift of life. You have been privileged to see those wonderful sights that God has created and to live in a body that has been "Fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14

Language with a double meaning will not be enough to defend the soul who has not accepted Christ as their Saviour on the day when "the dead, small and great, stand before God." Revelation 20:12.

It is rare to see a person who admits they have been justly condemned yet it is the language of the man that is called the penitent thief in Luke's Gospel. And he was crucified for his "deeds" Luke 23:41.

Flee for refuge and protection from the God of Heaven who has given His Son the Lord Jesus Christ to pay for your accountability through the shedding of His precious blood.
